Terms & conditions

Last updated: 1 November 2026

These terms apply when you buy or download anything from First Renters Guide, which is run by Pengroove (“we”, “us”). Contact us at hello@pengroove.com.

1. What we sell

Digital guides, templates and checklists for people renting a home, in editions for different countries. They contain general information, not legal, financial or professional advice. Laws and prices change, so check the official sources listed in each product before acting on it.

2. Prices

Prices are shown in the currency of the country edition you pick, and include any taxes we're required to charge. Prices differ between countries to reflect what renters there can afford. You'll be charged the price shown at checkout; if your payment provider converts currency, it may add its own fee.

3. Ordering and delivery

Your contract with us is made when payment is confirmed. We then email you a link to download your files. Links are personal to your order; please don't share them.

4. Your right to cancel (UK and EU customers)

If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. Because our products are digital and delivered straight away, at checkout we ask you to agree that the download can start immediately and to acknowledge that you then lose this right to cancel. If you don't agree, we can't deliver the files immediately.

5. Refunds and faulty files

Once you've agreed to immediate access and your files have been delivered, sales are final. This doesn't affect your legal rights: if a file is faulty, won't download, or isn't as described, contact us and we'll replace it, or refund you if we can't put it right.

6. Using the products

You may use the products for your own personal use, including printing them and filling in the templates. You may not resell, share or republish them.

7. Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on general information in the products, or for losses that weren't foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. If you're a consumer living in the UK or EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one shown when you bought.
